1 medium sized bowl
1 sauté pan
- 1/4 cup flour
- 1/4 tsp baking powder
- 1/4 cup water
- 1 pkg vegan chicken strips
- 1 jar vegan BBQ sauce Avoid sauces containing honey or natural flavoring
- 1 Tablespoon oil to coat pan
Combine flour and baking powder in medium bowl. Mix in water until it's a smooth batter.
Add chicken strips and stir to coat. Press strips into 4-5 lumps. The batter serves to glue the strips loosely together.
Cook lumps in a skillet that is coated with vegetable oil on medium heat until they become golden brown on both sides.
Smother lumps in BBQ sauce and continue cooking until sauce gets dark and somewhat caramelized.
